One of the highest compliments we continue to receive is how families hope their children grow up to be like our 8th graders, who live out these values everyday.

History of Redeemer School
In the spring of 1957, Mr. Gary Behrens, a new college graduate and his new bride, Rosemary, were called to open the doors and establish the school. Together with the parish leadership and members of the congregation they began the task of recruiting students by going door to door throughout the neighborhood.
Redeemer School opened its doors for the first time in August of 1957. They began with two classrooms and 53 students in first through eighth grades. Enrollment grew every year and by 1966, the school increased its teaching staff to five. An adjoining property was purchased in 1964 that eventually became home to the school office and its administrative offices. In 1970, Redeemer added its first kindergarten class, expanding to kindergarten through grade eight format.
By the early 2000’s and with more than 175 students, we broke ground on our new, modern educational building. Today, our campus includes 10 classrooms on two floors, Transitional Kindergarten, two large play areas, a lunch courtyard, and a modern multi- purpose hall complete with a large stage. We added state-of-the-art technology infrastructure, launched a 1:1 iPad program, and installed interactive projectors in every classroom, enhancing the learning experience through interactive visual aids.
As we close in on our 70th anniversary, Redeemer School has graduated more than 1,100 students and looks forward to growing the hearts and minds of many, many students to come.
